Tax income
Every place you rebuild pays you a few coins each hour, even while you do other things. It is the only income you do not work for, and it is always coins, never items.
The short version
- Each rebuilt place pays your Town level − 1 coins per hour, up to 30 per place.
- Your homestead does not count. Only places you rebuilt do.
- All tax together stops at 150 coins per hour.
- Train Town to raise it. At Town level 1 it pays nothing.
Example
At Town level 11, each rebuilt place pays 10 coins per hour. With 4 rebuilt places, that is 40 coins per hour.
Does it pay while I am away?
Yes. It counts the same as any other time, up to the 48-hour limit. See While you were away.
Why is it so small?
On purpose. In this game you do the work yourself. Tax stays well below what any activity earns, so it helps with small costs but never replaces working. It never pays materials or goods.
Exact numbers
- Per place: Town level − 1 coins per hour, at least 0 and at most 30.
- In total: at most 150 coins per hour, however many places you rebuild. A mod can change this limit.
