Potions
A potion makes one skill better for a number of actions. Put it in that skill's potion slot, and each completed action uses one charge.
The short version
- Make potions with Medicine and Cooking. The table below lists every potion and its recipe.
- Select a potion in the Bank and slot it into its skill. Each skill has one potion slot.
- Each completed action of that skill uses one charge, even while you are away.
- When a potion runs out, the next one of the same kind is slotted from the bank. You can turn this refill off in the Bank.
- Swapping or pouring out a potion throws away its remaining charges.
How do I use a potion?
- Make the potion. Its recipe is in the table below.
- Open the Bank and select the potion. It says which skill it helps.
- Slot it into that skill. The effect works right away.
- Do that skill's activities. Each completed action uses one charge.
How long does a potion last?
Each potion lists its charges below. A high-quality potion has 1.5× the charges, but its effect is just as strong. A charge is used on every completed action of the skill, even when the effect did not change anything on that action.
Keep a few of the same potion in the bank to cover a long break. When one runs out, the next is slotted on its own. When none are left, or the refill is off, the slot empties.
Every potion
Exact numbers
- One slot per skill. Slotting takes one potion from the bank, Normal before High quality.
- High-quality charges: the listed charges × 1.5, rounded down.
- The next potion is slotted from the bank when the last charge is used, Normal first, if the refill is on.
- Replacing or pouring out a slotted potion throws away its remaining charges. The game warns you first.
- Potion bonuses are added to the same totals as gear and mastery bonuses.
